Sukla Didi, tribute from Chinue and family

Created by Anita 10 months ago

Thanks Anita, Babu and Santanu for arranging a Website for tribute to your departed Mum.

🕯

Before proceeding further, I wish to add that in 1982 when we moved to our Stratford house  I met Sukla, as she was living next road us and since then I used to know and addressed her as 'Didi' (ie elder sister). Soon after that's become welknown to our friends circle as Didi and she also shared views as elder sister. She was always gentle, polite, welbehaved & supportive person to the circle. Very often we used to visit each other, shopping around and also walked around the West Ham Park for sharing the pleasure time.
Again when I moved to Hornchurch, Essex in 2021, prior to fallen sick Didi came to visit  and liked my house/area so much and then expressed opinion that she would like to move nearer so that we can spend time together. Alas! Circumstances didn't permit.
By the way, during the British rule India, Sukla Didi was born in a place called Bogra of the then East Bengal (now Bagladesh) our cultural identities were very similar & hence, we used to enjoy our life style together.
However, human life moves on....,but memories don't, so Didi, you may have gone away, but our friendship is right here..... in the heart. Although, you are far from us, would never say GOODBYE....
We miss you Didi...🙏 Chinue & family
